Content Examples for TCW
Oaktree’s YouTube Page is a perfect example of the final product we create with our clients. There you will see years of diverse videos and content types that together tell the full story of Oaktree.
Brand Message Video - Like Oaktree’s “Our Mission, Our Values” video, which features a voiceover and clips from multiple video sources. Or this “Life at Houlihan Lokey” video that uses interviews with employees from every level of the firm.
Explainer Videos - Like this video featuring the Portfolio Manager of Oaktree’s Structured Credit Strategy. Or like this Houlihan Lokey video, used by the CEO when talking to his company about how employees are utilizing AI for work. (NOTE: this is an internal video of HL, and I have permission to show you, but please don’t share)
Insights / Commentary Videos - This is what I’m already seeing on TCW’s website, and though it might feel a little amateur, I’m a believer that low budget production quality is fine for most of the insights communication vids & podcasts that TCW puts out. The information is what the client or consumer is there for.
Still, I’d love to consult on ways your interval video creators can make that content higher level themselves. I can also help make this material better by doing the post work on them while you maintain the production. And when the conversation is important enough, you spend the money to make a high end insights video, and put more effort toward getting it picked up by news, social influencers, PR, etc.
Executive Short Documentaries - A short biography about the background and journey of an Executive to their present position. These are great at letting all employees and stakeholders get to know the firm’s leadership, while inspiring the upcoming generation about how to succeed.
External Company Culture Videos - This content shares publicly, what is important to the people of the firm, thus celebrating the culture that helps make for success. A great example is the “What’s Oaktree Reading" videos, their “Our Communities Matter” Videos, and a video about their internship program.
Internal Fun Community Building - These examples from Oaktree have been used internally, and publicly. They are fun ideas that help people connect and share in the company’s milestones together.
Educational Courses / Lectures - Where we film a course like Masterclass (Howard Marks’ online course “How to Think About Risk” has over a million views on YouTube). We also take live talks from conferences and turn them into lectures with powerpoint.
